Color Pair Studio — Privacy Policy
(App Addendum)
Effective date: October 1, 2025
Applies to: Color Pair Studio for macOS (“CPS”), published by Touch Digital LLC.
Company policy: This addendum sits under the Touch Digital LLC Privacy Policy.
Quick summary
No personal data collected by default. CPS runs locally; your colors and designs stay on your Mac.
Optional analytics (if offered). Off by default, anonymous, and never includes color values or other content.
Clipboard is explicit. CPS writes the hex code to the system clipboard only when you click to copy.
No third-party SDK trackers.
No ads, no sale of data.
What CPS does locally
CPS computes color suggestions on-device. It does not upload your chosen colors, assets, or documents to any server. Features like “Copy … Setup” generate text locally and show it to you; nothing is sent automatically.
Data we collect
By default
Nothing. CPS does not collect personal data, identifiers, color values, crash logs, or usage metrics unless you explicitly opt in to analytics (see below).
Optional analytics (if available in your build)
Opt-in control: Preferences → Privacy → “Share anonymous usage analytics”. Off by default; you can opt out anytime.
What’s sent: anonymous event counts like “feature button clicked” (e.g., “generate_clicked”, “export_snippet”).
What’s NOT sent: no names, emails, device identifiers, IPs, clipboard content, no color values or hex codes, no project files.
Purpose: aggregate product improvement (e.g., which features are used).
If analytics are not present in your version, nothing is sent even if the toggle exists.
Clipboard use
CPS writes to the system clipboard only when you ask it to (e.g., clicking a swatch to copy its hex code).
CPS does not continuously read the clipboard.
File access
Current versions: No background file access.
Future “Direct Asset Writer” (planned): if/when released, CPS will request User-Selected File Access (read/write) only for the folder or file you pick (e.g., an Xcode asset catalog). CPS won’t scan other locations.
Network connections
CPS does not require network access for core features.
If analytics or update checks are enabled, CPS may make outgoing requests strictly for those purposes and only when you’ve opted in (for analytics).
Crash reports & diagnostics
CPS does not collect crash reports by default. If you email us logs for support, we’ll use them only to troubleshoot.
Third parties
We do not use third-party advertising/analytics SDKs in CPS and we do not sell data. If we use vendors (e.g., to host the website), they act as processors under contract.
Children
CPS is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your region).
